Arrive early for your flight

When traveling on Oman Air’s First, Business or Economy Class from Muscat International Airport to international destinations within our Network, you can check-in 4 hours before your scheduled departure time. Guests must also take into account to check-in at least 60 minutes before departure, regardless of whether or not they are checking baggage.

Drop your baggage early

Travel worry-free. Check-in online and simply drop off your baggage 12 hours before the flight departure time at the fast-bag-drop counter.

Early Check-in

• Early check-in facility of up to 8 hrs, is available before departure.
• In cases of a family where the entire members are not physically present during early check-in, bags can be accepted but boarding passes will be issued only when the entire family is seen by check-in staff at Online check-in counter 48 or 49.
• Passport and Visas will be checked at the initial baggage acceptance time.

Other advantages for passengers who avail this facility:

• Online check-in, is available between 48 hours & 60 minutes before the scheduled time of departure.
• Online checked-in passengers without baggage can proceed directly to immigration and gate without requiring to report at our check-in counters.
• Dedicated Web-check-in counter at Muscat International Airport, to drop off your baggage. Baggage Tags will be provided at counters 48 or 49.
• Counters at the airport will close 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure.

Check-in

We advise our customers to report to the airport at least 3 hours before scheduled time of departure. The time shown on your ticket is the actual departure time of the aircraft. However, we advise you to call up your local Oman Air airport office or flight information to confirm the Oman Air flight departure time before you leave home, in case of any unexpected delays or rescheduling.

Please ensure you have the following with you before proceeding to our check in counters:

• Your Photo ID / Passport
• Visa (if required)

You must arrive at the airport early enough to complete check in, immigration and security procedures in time to be present at the boarding gate.
The flights cannot be held for customers reporting late to the check in counters and hence, no responsibility shall be taken by the airline in such cases.
We do try to minimize the time you spend on checking-in, however, check-in deadlines vary according to the airport facilities and your journey will be smoother if you allow plenty of time.
Oman Air at Muscat International Airport will close check-in counters 60 minutes prior to departure effective 01 June 2009 for all outbound flights including domestic sectors.
