Oman Air has issued a travel advisory for guests flying to Europe following the introduction of the European Union’s new Entry Exit System (EES), a digital border control procedure that replaces the manual stamping of passports. The EES, which began its phased rollout on 12 October 2025, will be implemented progressively across EU member states and applies to travellers from non-EU / non-Schengen countries, including tourists and short-stay visitors.

Oman Air advises guests to anticipate possible longer processing times at European airports during the initial implementation period. Passengers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new requirements and verify any impact on their travel by visiting the official EU website.
