Under the theme “Winds of Change”Oman Air held the Annual Conference of Sales and Marketing

Under the patronage of H.E. Said bin Hamdoon Al Harthy, Chairman of Board of Directors, Oman Air held its annual conference for sales and marketing at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon from 24 - 25 Feb 2006. Mr. Ziad bin Karim Al Haremi, Acting Chief Executive Officer, a number of senior company officials and the company’s regional & sales managers, participated in the conference.

In his welcome speech, H.E. the Chairman thanked all participants for their valuable efforts which contributed in making 2005 a profitable year for the company.

H.E. pledged that the management will do the utmost, to provide incessant support aimed at upgrading the company’s performance to achieve the anticipated goals.

In his speech, A/CEO said, “The majority of Last year’s recommendations were attained satisfactory.  The aim was to provide the best services for our valued passengers and as a result, substantial increases of their numbers have been recorded.

At the end of the conference, Mr. Ziad bin Karim AL Haremi A/CEO, Mr. Edward Acting Divisional Manager Commercial and Mr. Abdulrazaq Alraisi , Senior Manager Sales honored the stations of distinguished performance for the year 2005, they were Beirut and Jeddah. Also, Muscat station was granted the Golden award, Kuwait the silver and Salalah received the bronze.

It is worth pointing out, that Oman Air is currently operating 10 aircraft, 6 out of which are, the new Generation Boeing 737- 800 and 700. This modern fleet reaches many important cities in the Gulf, the Middle East regions and the Indian sub-continent. It flies to Muscat, Salalah, Khasab, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Delhi, Cairo and Beirut in Lebanon.
