The National carrier is spreading its wings to a new destination in the Middle East
Oman Air will commence flights to Amman from December 2006 with three non-stop flights a week on Mon/Wed/Sat. While addressing the press and Travel agents at Muscat Intercontinental during the launch of their new destination, Mr. Hassan Al Lawati, Country Manager, Oman, stated that the airline has always been focusing on value, service and style. He added that many promotional activities and special offers have been announced on the introduction of Amman destination. He elaborated that Oman Air has come up with attractive offers like ‘children travel free’ during the promotion period and also setting up of stands at Lulu Hypermarket outlets at Darsait and Ghoubrah to raffle and give away 10 return tickets to Amman. This is in addition to offering a special fare of OMR 99 for the return journey during the promotion period.
He also added that “Oman Air is playing a major role in making Muscat a major traffic hub in the Middle East. This new service will consequently result in boosting the Economical and Tourism industries in both our brotherly nations Oman and Jordan. Oman has tremendous tourism potential and the National carrier is pleased to now expand its marketing and sales effort to more destinations in the Middle East to support not only the citizens of the two brotherly countries, but the growing number of expatriate travelers seeking new and exotic holiday destinations. This is only a stride towards a sequence of upgrading our operations with the object of an increase in the near future".
Mr. Al Lawati concludes that “since its inception in 1993 until now, Oman Air has witnessed only success. The airline, which began operating only one aircraft for its flights to Salalah, has now grown to an international airline ready to face all challenges.
