Oman Air Represented by Bahrain station participated in Bahrain International Travel exhibition (BITE) 2007, an annual event organised by Magnum Events and Exhibitions Management (MEEM) for the third consecutive year.
In this occupation Mr. Issa AL-Harthy Oman Air’s Country Manger - Bahrain & Kingdom of the Saudi Arabian said: “Oman Air’s Bahrain station plays a major rule in promoting Oman as an attractive tourism destination here in the Kingdom of Bahrain. We have established indeed an excellent network with local travel agents, to increases the number of tourists wishing to visit the Sultanate, along with participating in various events and exhibitions, to highlight Oman’s rich heritage & culture. BITE is an important forum for us and through it we aim to promote Oman as a tourism destination”.
He added: “BITE is an ideal shopping platform for consumers to grab unbeatable deals and competitive fares to their favorite destinations. Oman Air, participation has been prolific, through promoting the various tourist packages launched by Oman Air holidays to diverse destinations. Oman Air Holidays packages were met with high demand by the visitors at the exhibition, especially Oman packages and in particular, Khareef Salalah festival, Arabia’s coolest summer destination”.
Corporate Communications & Media Department said: “Bahrain International Travel Exhibition – BITE, is an International Travel Exhibition, which showcases current travel trends and project new emerging destinations around the world. Undoubtedly, BITE provides an ideal policy for establish a new customer contact and conducting business as it attracts high-ranking professionals with decision-making power. Oman Air participation in the exhibition came under the umbrella of our General Sales Agent, Al-Fanar Travels”.
The Department concluded that Oman Air’s stations are well built with the Ministry of Tourism aiming to strengthen the sultanate presence on the world tourism map, bolster ties with key world tourist decision-makers, keeping in mind the comprehensive strategy being constantly pursued by the Ministry of Tourism to boost the tourism sector, and enable it to act as a key segment of the economy.
