Oman Air Expands Its International Network To Include Iraq

Date: 10 August 2016 Oman Air has announced further expansion to its global network with a new destination starting in September 2016. The flights will operate from Oman Air’s hub in Muscat to Najaf, in Iraq with four weekly flights. Flights to Najaf will start on 15th September 2016.This is Oman Air’s first destination in Iraq, and the carrier will operate the flights aboard Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Oman Air Agrees Sale And Leaseback Arrangement With Dubai Aerospace Enterprise

Date: 07 August 2016 As Oman Air continues its ambitious fleet and network expansion plan, the airline has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd for the sale and leaseback of two new B737-800 aircraft. The first of the two aircraft was delivered on 25th July and the second is expected to arrive at Muscat this month.

Date: 01 August 2016 Oman Air and Saudi Arabian Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement covering services between Muscat and four destinations in Saudi Arabia. Effective from 29th June, customers were able to book flights through either airline for services between Muscat and Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, or Medina.
