Oman Air Unveils its Newest Business Class Lounge at Bangkok International Airport

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has unveiled its newest Business Class lounge, at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.

The lounge, which is conveniently located at the second floor junction between concourses G and E of the International terminal, will offer Oman Air's passengers flying in First and Business Class award-winning service and hospitality, as found onboard all of its aircraft.

Boeing, Oman Air Announce Order for Six Boeing 787 DreamlinersBoeing [NYSE: BA] and Oman Air, the Sultanate of Oman’s flagship carrier, today announced an order for six Boeing 787-8s at the Dubai Airshow.

The airline completed an arrangement with Boeing and Kuwait-based leasing company ALAFCO to transfer existing orders for the six Dreamliners from ALAFCO to Oman Air.

Oman Air Partners With Jan de Rijk Logistics to Launch Pan-European Trucking

Oman Air has announced that it is to expand its cargo trucking services from this month and has established Pan-European Trucking in partnership with Jan de Rijk Logistics.

Pan-European Trucking will provide road feeder services covering Oman Air's major European gateways of London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Milan Malpensa, Munich and Frankfurt, with Zurich following later in the year. Jan de Rijk Logistics will also provide offline handling services across Europe for Oman Air.

Oman Air Restarted Non-Stop Flight Between Salalah and Dubai

Oman Air, The National Carrier of the Sultanate of Oman restarted its services between Salalah and Dubai on Wednesday 4th May 2011. Salalah flights will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

To celebrate the resumption of the flights between Salalah and Dubai, a ceremony was organised at Salalah Airport under the auspices of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Saif Al Mahrouqi, the Deputy Governor of Dhofar, and attended by local dignitaries, major travel agents and members of Oman Air's senior management team.

Oman Air is Number One for On-Time Performance at London Heathrow

Don HunterOman Air has been named as the top on-time performer at London Heathrow Airport.

Figures just released by BAA show that Oman Air achieved the number one rank with 100% punctuality for departures in February 2011, and the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman has been consistently listed amongst top five airlines for on-time performance (OTP) at Heathrow.

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman will be resuming services between Salalah and Dubai from May 4th and between Muscat and Zanzibar from May 16th. Salalah flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Zanzibar will operate three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays.

IATA Names Oman Air as Middle East 2011 Top Ten Authorized Training Centre

COMAThe Oman Air Training Centre has been awarded a much-coveted place in IATA's Middle East 2011 Top Ten Authorized Training Centre listing.

IATA, the International Air Transport Association, bestowed the top-ten placing in "recognition of an outstanding contribution by the ATC (Authorized Training Centre) in developing human capital for tomorrow's air transport industry."
