Increases operational capacity to Salalah

Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman increased its operational capacity on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays on temporary bases by operating the Airbus 310 instead of B 737, according to Mr. Hassan bin Talib Al Lawatia, Oman Air’s Country Manger - Oman.

visit the Sultanate for a relaxed holiday and to witness the Muscat Festival 2008. The ever-growing popular Muscat Festival has contributed tremendously especially for passengers traveling on the MCT/SLL sector. Keeping in mind its firm commitment to its valued passengers to provide quality service, Oman Air provided 4156 seats on MCT/SLL/MCT sector alone during the last days from Wednesday to Saturday by replacing the Boeing 737 with an Airbus 310 which had a capacity of 191 seats (18 business class and 173 economy).
Oman Air’s Corporate Communication And Media department commented by saying, that Oman Air operates 23 weekly flights between the capital city-Muscat and the land of frankincense-Salalah by operating Boeing 737/800 and 737/700 with capacity of 114 to 156 passengers. The airline has always increased the number of flights when the demand increased and this trend is evident especially during the Khareef season.
