Oman Air Starts Qualifying Processes for 20 Omanis as Traffic Clerks

The Oman Air stand at JOBEX Oman 2011 witnessed an overwhelming number of visitors who were exposed to the unique employment opportunities available at Oman Air, the platinum sponsor of the exhibition. The visitors also got a chance to know more about the training possibilities offered by Oman Air's Training and Development Center, which has been recognized as one of the best 10 training centers approved by IATA in the Middle East in 2011.
Sheikh Ahmed Al- Nabhani, Chief Officer, Support Services at Oman Air. Indicated that the National Carrier of Oman is keen to sponsor various job fairs that are held in the country, and more so the JOBEX which is a premium event in this niche. This decision stems from the deeply-rooted commitment by the company's management to provide as many career opportunities as possible, and absorb more qualified Omani candidates into the various fields of aviation.
"We strongly believe that the qualified Omani cadres are our company's permanent assets and the keystone in the progress of the company. We are proud of their achievements that stem out of their dedication and sincerity towards their job, which help them achieve the anticipated goals of the company, in addition to achieving the individual objectives set by themselves."
Muntaser AmBusaidi, HR Manager Omanisation & Information Systems, said that in order to activate Omanisation, the company has established a special department that is entrusted with the preparation and implementation of the ambitious strategies for Omanisation in the various departments and divisions. During the exhibition, HR staff introduced some of the strategies that are being implemented. On the top of the list is to start the qualifying process for the 20 diploma holders as traffic clerks, in addition to many other jobs in various fields.
Abdul Aziz bin Saud Al-Raisi, Chief Officer, Management Affairs said: "The fair was an opportunity for the Training and Development Center in Oman Air to publicise the many training courses provided by the Centre in various areas of Customer Service and Aviation that have been certified by IATA. We are very happy with the great attention paid by visitors to become acquainted with how best to develop their professional qualifications and channelise academic studies.
