Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has hailed the success of JOBEX 2013, one of the Gulf region’s leading recruitment and career guidance events. Oman Air was Lead Sponsor of JOBEX 2013, which was held under the auspices of the Oman Ministry of Manpower and took place at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Muscat from 23rd -25th April.
Run alongside the Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX) and the Training Exhibition (TRAINEX), the event provided a perfect platform for individuals from throughout Oman who were interested in the current vacancies, career options and training programmes offered by some of the biggest industry players within the region.
Oman Air’s role as lead sponsor built on its support for last year’s event, and underlined the airline’s commitment to providing careers and training for Omani workers.
Wayne Pearce, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, says:
"Oman Air was proud to be the Lead Sponsor of JOBEX 2013, during which we offered guidance to visitors about the range of career options and training programmes we offer at Oman Air. As a result, we hope to make a number of appointments in the near future.
“Oman Air is committed to maximizing employment opportunities for the young Omanis, and we believe that new graduates, who have just a few years of work experience, can be a valuable human resource. By providing additional, high quality training, we can hone their skills further, build on their existing experience and appoint them to a range of appropriate positions in which they can make an important contribution to Oman Air’s development.”
Oman Air is one of the Sultanate’s leading employers and has gained international recognition over recent years for the quality of its products and services. With an expanding fleet, growing network and an enviable reputation for outstanding hospitality, choice and punctuality, the airline is acknowledged as a major business presence in Oman. Furthermore, the dedication and commitment of its strong, well-trained workforce have made a major contribution to Oman Air’s distinct identity and powerful customer base.
Ahmed Al Nabhani, Chief Officer Support Services at Oman Air, adds:
“We have various career options for young, suitably qualified Omani candidates. Our Cadet Pilot scheme is for those who are keen on a flying career. Those who love to travel can take up cabin-crew careers or opt for overseas postings in managerial and administrative positions. The candidates who successfully meet our rigorous selection procedures can look forward to an array of excellent career opportunities, effective training programmes and lucrative remuneration packages."
