In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the accession of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Oman Air’s Engineering and Maintenance Division recently congregated to pay tribute to the Founder of the modern Omani Renaissance and rejoice with the nation’s festivities. A huge banner was hung at the Hangar 1 area to commemorate the occasion. The banner congratulating His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said was visible from the touch-down point for the planes landing at the Muscat International Airport.
During his address to senior managers, engineers, technicians and staff, Adil Al Shaibani, Senior Manager of the Development Engineering Department at Oman Air said, “Oman Air is a great example that bears witness to the great achievements and progress of the nation over the last four decades. We embody the philosophy of this glorious renaissance in every dimension from our strength in diversity and building human capital to our never-ending quest for development on our journey of transformation.”
Al Shaibani extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Engineering and Maintenance Division which he described as the muscle behind the organization, for their exceptional performance and relentless efforts to enhance operational efficiency and timely operation, especially during the last year given the ambitious yet calculated expansion plans of the National Carrier.
Comprised of six integrated departments, Oman Air’s Engineering and Maintenance Division provides aircraft engineering and maintenance services to the Company’s fleet of aircrafts and third party customers at high standard of workmanship in the most effective and professional manner. The Division extends technical ground handling to 36 Airline customers and other ad-hoc operators transiting through Muscat International Airport and B3 certification services to 17 airlines.
