Oman Air Becomes Official Airline Partner To The Extreme Sailing Series

Date: 03 May 2015 Oman Air was recently announced as the Official Airline Partner to the Extreme Sailing Series as part of the Sultanate's national carrier's plans to expand its network into China and across the world. This major agreement with series organisers OC Sports was unveiled on the opening day of Act 3 of the Extreme Sailing Series in Qingdao, China, where Oman Sail's high performance Extreme 40 sponsored by Oman Air, skippered by Britain's Stevie Morrison and featuring Omani sailor Ali Al Balushi, UK sailors Ed Powys, Nic Asher and Ted Hackney from Australia, was preparing for four days of hard and fast racing.

Oman Air’s IT Disaster Recovery Infrastructure Relocates

Date: 26 April 2015 Oman Data Park To Provide New State-Of-The-Art Facilities Oman Air's IT Disaster Recovery infrastructure is to move from its current location to a state-of-the-art data park in Muscat. The move will follow the signing of an agreement between Oman Air and Oman Data Park (ODP), which has been awarded the contract following a tender process. Under the terms of the agreement, ODP will be responsible for providing and managing the secure data center infrastructure, including server racks, power, cooling, fire protection, physical security including biometric access, and other functions. Management and administration of the hosted IT remain under Oman Air IT Department's supervision and control.

Oman Air Launches Codeshare With KLM

Date: 21 April 2015 Oman Air is has launched a new codeshare agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The agreement came into effect on Wednesday 15th April 2015 and will enable Oman Air's customers to book onto flights operated by KLM between Muscat and Amsterdam v.v. Oman Air Launches Flights To Goa

Date: 05 April 2015 Oman Air has launched a brand-new service between the Omani capital of Muscat and Goa, in India. The new service, which was announced in January 2015 and started on 29th March, offers four flights per week.   And for a limited time, promotional fares are available for travel between the two destinations. Return Economy Class flights can be booked from OMR 200.3 per person, whilst Business Class flights can be booked from OMR 436.3 per person. Fares quoted include all taxes and are subject to availability.
