Oman Air Orders its 6th B737 NG aircraft
Oman Air has finalized an order for a 6th B737NG jet aircraft with the Boeing Company. The new jet will be delivered to Oman Air during March 2005 for entry into commercial service in May 2005. This 6th B737NG aircraft will be deployed to expand Oman Air’s routes and support the network especially after addition of Bahrain, as well as Delhi and Hyderabad (subject to Indian Government approval). Additionally, frequency and capacity will be increased on routes to Mumbai, Kochi, Beirut and Colombo.
“Oman Air seeks to serve its customers with an expanding network and enhanced frequency convenience both provided by the all new B737NG aircraft family which offers unsurpassed levels of efficiency and reliability”, said Abdul Rahman Al Busaidy, CEO of Oman Air.
More destinations, more flights, enhanced on-time reliability with brand new B737 NG aircraft, that is Oman Air’s commitment to travelers throughout the Oman Air region, noted Al Busaidy.
In addition to the newly ordered 6th B737NG aircraft, Oman Air is reviewing the need for a 7th B737NG aircraft to further enhance its destination list and flight frequencies
