Oman Air launches its own unique Frequent Flyer Programme: SINDBAD
Based on Oman Air’s commitment to make available high quality service to satisfy the requirements of its valued passengers, the Company has recently launched the unique frequent flyer program “SINDBAD”. This name is inspired by the famous Omani sailor recognized for his legendary historic voyages.
“Sindbad” offers more than just the typical benefits of a frequent flyer programme with its many mileage earning opportunities on Oman Air operated flights, Oman Air code share flights, class of travel bonus miles, tier bonus miles, to name a few. The Family Nomination Promotion is one of the main attractions of the programme. As a part of the family programme, everytime your nominated adult family members travel on Oman Air you earn 100% of their flown miles. Child family members contribute 50% of their flown miles to the head of the family.
And that’s not all. Besides earning miles with Oman Air, you can also earn miles when you use services of a carefully selected range of Sindbad partners like Gulf Air, Golden Tulip Hotels, Taj Group of Hotels, Budget Rent-A-Car, IAPA and Travelplan which adds up a great deal of miles and brings the rewards you want a whole lot closer.
With a three tier membership system from Green to Silver to Gold, a range of privileges awaits members. The initial entry level is the green card level for all members joining the programme just by completing an application form. It has benefits like extra baggage allowance (on Oman Air and Gulf Air flights), duty free discounts , advanced seat and meal selection and personalized membership card and baggage tags. Each Oman Air flight gives additional Status miles to Sindbad members bringing them closer to Silver Status. Silver tier entitles the member to a better and wider range of privileges such as priority waiting list, automatic seat reconfirmation, airport lounge access (on Oman Air and Gulf Air flights), priority baggage, selected magazine subscription and additional bonus miles. The next highest level for an upgrade is the Gold Card level. This card enables members to experience Oman Air hospitality at its finest – from the moment they book their flight to the very end of their journey with maximum privileges and exclusive services.
Applications for membership can either be made on-line or by completing an application form. The application form has an in-built temporary membership card allowing applicants to earn miles from the date of application and without any requirement of making retro claims for the flights taken in between.
With these and many more unmatched features, this state-of-the-art frequent flyer programme, SINDBAD definitely redefines the loyalty programmes structure.
