The Final Lot Of Fly Free To London Winners Announced
The final draw of the 'Fly free to London' campaign was held at the Oman Air Head office. The Chief Guest for the occasion was HE Said Hamdoon Al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications for Ports and Maritime Affairs.
The 'Fly free to London' campaign was launched on the 16 September 2008. Bringing desires to reality, the airline offered an opportunity for the residents of Oman to fly free to London. The campaign open to the residents of Oman, was simple to take part in. One only had to log onto the Oman Air website (www.omanair.aero) and click on the Special Offers section which had the 'fly free to London' campaign. By taking part in a survey which was a set of questions about the various services offered by Oman Air, including airport services, the participants got a chance to win free tickets to London, through a raffle draw. The survey was in English or Arabic. Twelve winners were drawn from the previous raffles, who won free air tickets (economy class) to Muscat-London-Muscat. The campaign was designed as a tool to create better web awareness to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, HE Said Bin Hamdoon Al Harthy congratulated the winners while appreciating the unique efforts of Oman Air in promoting its destinations and also lauded the national carrier’s endeavor in upholding the image of Oman as an ideal and safe holiday destination. An important ongoing event that is spearheaded jointly by Oman Air and Ministry of Tourism is the marketing campaign in London. The six-month long campaign has been successful in building awareness about Oman as a choice destination for tourism, investment and business promotions in the Middle-East. The 'Fly Free to London' promotion and the marketing campaign in London are timed in such a way to create maximum marketing impact and awareness.
