Oman Air Launches Flights To New Duqm Airport

Oman Air is set to start serving the new Omani regional airport at Duqm. The service will commence as the new airport opens on 23rd July and will consist of four flights per week, operating Oman Air’s acclaimed Embraer E175 aircraft.
The Oman Air flights into the new airport will be marked with a celebration organised and hosted at Duqm by the city’s Special Economic Zone Authority and attended by the media, high level dignitaries and officials from the Government of Oman and senior managers from Oman Air. Read More
Oman Air Signs Heavy Maintenance Agreement With Joramco

Oman Air has signed a new deal with JorAMCo to provide the Omani national carrier with base maintenance services for two Embraer 175 and three Airbus A330 aircraft in its fleet. The maintenance checks are planned to take place between May and November this year.
The move continues a collaborative effort between the two companies, with JorAMCo successfully accomplishing similar checks to two additional Oman Air Embraers last year.

Oman Air Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Oman Air has appointed Abdulrahaman Al-Busaidy to the position of Chief Operating Officer. The airline’s Commercial, Network Planning, and Strategy and Business Development divisions will report to Mr Al Busaidy, who took up his post on 1st July.
The appointment comes at a critical time for Oman Air, as it prepares for its next phase of rapid expansion, which will begin with the arrival later this year of the first of the 20 new aircraft that the airline currently has on order. Read More

Oman Air Gives Record Boost to Salalah Flights for Summer Season

Oman Air is boosting its Muscat to Salalah services to meet extra demand during the summer season. The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman is increasing the number of services to Salalah from 52 flights per week to 84, from 24th July to 15th September 2014, to cope with the increasing popularity of the destination during the Khareef season. Oman Air Accepts Two Trophies At Arab Tourism Media Awards

Oman Air is celebrating the latest in a sting of prestigious honours, following the presentation to the airline of the 'Best Arab Air Carrier' award at the Arab Tourism Media Awards. The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman was also given a special award in appreciation of its long-term and continuing support for the Arab Tourism Media.
The Arab Tourism Media Awards are now in their fourth year and were held at the Al Bustan Palace hotel, Muscat. Oman Air Moves Qatar Operation To Brand-New Doha Hamad International Airport

Oman Air is to move its Qatar operation from Doha International Airport to the newly opened Doha Hamad International Airport, from 22nd May 2014.
The move follows the new airport's soft opening on 30th April and most of the airlines currently flying from Doha International Airport will, over the next few weeks, be accommodated at the new, state-of-the-art facilities.
The change of location means that Oman Air's services from Muscat to Doha will now arrive at the new Hamad International Airport, giving passengers the opportunity to be amongst the first to experience the dramatic new development. Read More
