Oman Air Confirms Its Aim ‘To Become The Best’

Date: 19 January 2015 A global conference of Oman Air staff has given ambitious proposals for growth and prosperity a warm welcome. The proposals were set out by Chief Executive Officer Paul Gregorowitsch, and provided a centrepiece for the event, whose theme was 'To become the Best'. They included the continuation of Oman Air's ambitious expansion strategy, together with the launch of a stringent efficiency programme, entitled 'Shape and Size'. This will see the airline make cost savings of RO 100 million over the next three years, resulting in Oman Air achieving profitability by the end of 2017.

Oman Air's Catering Business Unit, under the leadership of General Manager - Oman Air Catering Jassim Al Balushi, recently hosted a high profile event at which three of Oman's leading chefs presented a range of delicious new dishes. Each dish combined traditional Omani cooking with the latest global culinary trends, and was created with the expert support of Oman Air's in-house chefs.

Oman Air Launches Shape And Size Efficiency Programme

Date: 5 January 2015 Oman Air has launched an efficiency programme, entitled Shape and Size, with the aim of achieving substantial reductions in the airline's expenditure. The move is timed to coincide with the start of 2015 and the onset of new budgets for the year. The Shape and Size efficiency programme is targeting cost reductions across all activities undertaken by the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman. None of those reductions will affect the airline's safety or the high standards of service offered to valued customers.
