Oman Air Train Call Centre Staff to Achieve Higher Level of Performance

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, in their drive to" enhance their customer experience", has recently completed a year-long extensive customized training initiative for their staff at its call center, in partnership with Infoline LLC, specializing in Call Center and Business Process Outsourcing services in Oman.

As Oman Air's call center is the first point of contact for any Oman Air customer feedback call, and is considered a key strategic marketing tool to serve its customers, special emphasis on its quality was given top priority. The training sessions conducted were aligned to the international business process outsourcing industry's training standards.

Oman Air Recognizes Staff at Long Service Award Ceremony

OUTSTANDING achievements and years of dedication were recognized at Oman Air's annual long service award ceremony. The event further re-enforced the important role of the staff to the overall success of the company.

Oman Air, the National Carrier of Oman, honored the long-standing employees who have completed 15 years in the service of the company, in a special celebration held at Golden Tulip Hotel Seeb under the auspices of Peter Hill, CEO of Oman Air and in the presence of members of the senior management. It has been Oman Air's tradition to hold such a ceremony as appreciation and encouragement of its staff to enhance their performance and output, and in recognition of their faith and devotion to hard work.

Oman Air Supports Salalah Tourism Festival 2011

The festival, which runs from the 1st of July to the end of the same month, celebrates the unique history, culture and climate of the Sultanate of Oman's most southerly Governorate. Due to its exceptional natural phenomena, Dhofar is considered as one of the most arresting areas for tourists particularly in autumn, where the temperature ranges between 15 to 22 degrees Celsius.

Oman Air Announces Special Offer on Flights from Muscat to Salalah

Abdul Razaq Alraisi Oman Air has announced a superb new offer on flights from the Sultanate's capital of Muscat to the southern city of Salalah.

From 1st July to the end of September 2011, the airline will be offering return flights at the special rate of just Omani Rial 51 - a reduction of up to 20% on the average market fare.

Whilst Oman Air has taken steps to ensure that the maximum number of seats is available throughout the period of the offer, these fares are sure to prove extremely popular and customers are advised to book at the earliest opportunity.

Oman Air Wins Best Business Class Seat at World Airline Awards

Oman Air was named winner of the World's Best Business Class Airline Seat award at the 2011 World Airline Awards, in a ceremony held in the French Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show.

The runners-up in this Best Business Class Airline Seat category are Singapore Airlines taking 2nd place in the category, ahead of Qatar Airways in 3rd position. The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman was presented with the Best Business Class Seat award at a ceremony attended by more than 50 airlines.

The awards are based on the views of nearly 20 million air passengers, who were surveyed by Skytrax over the last year.

Oman Air Partners With Jan de Rijk Logistics to Launch Pan-European Trucking

Oman Air has announced that it is to expand its cargo trucking services from this month and has established Pan-European Trucking in partnership with Jan de Rijk Logistics.

Pan-European Trucking will provide road feeder services covering Oman Air’s major European gateways of London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Milan Malpensa, Munich and Frankfurt, with Zurich following later in the year. Jan de Rijk Logistics will also provide offline handling services across Europe for Oman Air.

Oman Air Sponsors Paraplegic Aviation Pioneer Dave Sykes in UK to Australia Microlight Bid

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has announced that it is to sponsor the England-to-Australia flight currently being undertaken by disabled microlight pilot Dave Sykes.

Dave left York, England, on 28th April in a P&M Aviation Quik microlight aircraft and his journey will mark the 80th Anniversary of Amy Johnson's first-ever flight between the two countries. It will cover a distance of 21,809 kilometres and will take in 20 countries, including Muscat the capital city Oman, who Dave landed in on 28th May.

Oman Air Concludes Emergency Response Planning Workshop for Outstations Employees

The Oman Air – Emergency Response & Planning (ERP) Department conducted the 3rd 'Emergency Response Planning Outstation Workshop' recently. This workshop was attended by 75 Oman Air employees, who came to Muscat from GCC and Middle East, Far East, Africa, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Milan.

The previous two Workshops conducted during 2010 were in London-Bracknell, in the UK, for Oman Air's regional staff in Europe and another one in Mumbai, India for the Oman Air staff in the Indian Stations.
