Oman Air Join Hands with Spatial Composite Solutions

Oman Air Join Hands with Spatial Composite Solutions Oman Air, the National Carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has awarded a US $2.6M contract to Spatial Composite Solutions, the Dubai-based manufacturer of crew training equipment for two new Cabin Crew Safety Trainers.

Under the contract, Spatial will design and build A330-300 and B737 NG Emergency Evacuation Trainers and these will be installed at Oman Air’s new Aviation Crew Training facility at Muscat International Airport. Delivery is scheduled for October 2010.

Peter Hill Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman will be commemorating its flights to the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo on February 26^th. The flights to this destination were launched in November last year with four weekly frequencies between Muscat, capital of the Sultanate of Oman and Colombo.

Oman Air Joins Hands with Tour of Oman The Sultanate of Oman joined the world cycling circuit when it hosted for the first time a round of UCI ProTour from February 14 to 19 in 2010. The Tour of Oman, organised by the Muscat Municipality in co-operation with International Cycling Union (UCI) and Tour de France organisers, saw some of the top professional riders descending on Oman.

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, becomes the first airline in the world to offer the full connectivity suite (Mobile OnAir and Internet OnAir) on its commercial widebody aircraft when it starts to unroll full mobile phone and wi-fi connectivity across its brand new Airbus A330 fleet by the middle of February.

The move will give passengers in First, Business and Economy classes the opportunity to make and receive mobile phone calls, SMS, use email and the internet and keep up to date with social networking media, such as Facebook and Twitter.
