Oman Air Opens a New Pattaya Office

Oman Air, the National Carrier of the Sultanate of Oman has recently opened their new and swanky Passenger Sale Agency in Pattaya. This is the second office of Oman Air in Thailand after Bangkok. A colourful event marked the opening of the new office, which was attended by Ronakit Ekasingh, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, and Mr.Rattanachai Suttidachanai, Chairman of Tourism and Sports Committee, who congratulated Ahmed Hazeem Al Balushi, District Sales Manager, Oman Air, Thailand on the occasion. Also in attendance were the representatives of the Oman Air’s GSA, TPP International Co, Ltd.

Oman Air, CFM Sign CFM56-7B Engine Service Agreement

Oman Air and CFM International today signed a Rate per Flight Hour (RPFH) agreement for the airline’s fleet of 33 CFM56-7B engines.

The RPFH is a comprehensive maintenance program customized to Oman Air’s specific requirements. Under the terms of the agreement, CFM guarantees the maintenance cost on a dollar per engine flight hour basis for the airline’s entire fleet of installed and spare CFM56-7B engines powering its fleet of 15 Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft throughout the term of the agreement.

Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, has been awarded the Silver Award for the Best Marketing Campaign 2010, held by the Travel Industry Club in Cologne, Germany.

Every year, the Travel Industry Club hosts an award which recognises and celebrates outstanding achievements in marketing campaigns within the tourism sector. Oman Air Touches Down in Kathmandu

Muscat-based Air Oman Air flagged off its four weekly frequencies to Kathmandu on September 2nd, a day after the carrier officially announced operations to Dammam, KSA. Oman Air flies its new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these routes.

Philippe Georgiou, Chief Officer Corporate Affairs, was onboard the inaugural flight to Kathmandu. On deplaning, Oman Air team was met by officials of Nepal Tourism Board and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. Passengers including the senior Oman Air Management member were extended a traditional, ceremonial welcome.
