Oman Air Concludes 40th National Day Sindbad Promotion with Two 40,000 Miles Winners

H.E. Sheikh Said bin Ali bin Nafal Al Mazhali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Civil Aviation Affairs and Oman Air Board Member, drew the names of the two grand prize winners of Oman Air’s 40th National Day Sindbad Promotion in a special ceremony held at the Airline’s new check-in counters at Muscat International Airport. Basheer Saydarakath and Peter Gregory were granted 40,000 miles each as part of the Airline’s five week-long promotion in which a total of seven lucky frequent flyer members received 100,000 miles collectively.

4th Annual Aviation Business Awards 2010Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, was recently announced as the winner of the ‘Technology Implementation of the Year’ category at the prestigious 4th Annual Aviation Business Awards 2010.

The award recognised Oman Air’s pioneering introduction of in-flight mobile phone and Wi-Fi connectivity, which utilises the Airbus ALNA V2 system and Honeywell’s SwiftBroadband (SBB) solution, via OnAir and Inmarsat.

Oman Air Touches Down in Milan’s Malpensa Airport

Oman Air, the National Carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, commenced on December 3 a new service from Oman’s capital of Muscat to Milan, Italy’s world-renowned capital of culture, fashion and design.

Milan is the 41st destination to benefit from Oman Air’s world-class hospitality and the new route is the ninth to be unveiled this year.

The launch is being celebrated with cake-cutting ceremonies in Milan Malpensa Airport, and attended by high-ranking airport officials and senior representatives of Oman Air.

The National Carrier of the Sultanate, Oman Air, has announced the second and third winners of the Sindbad 40th National Day Promotion. Elizabeth McEvoy from Ireland and Asok Kolangarath from India have received 4,000 Sidbad Miles each in jubilation of four decades of historic and unparalleled achievements under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
