Check-in Counter To Close An Hour Before Flight

In an effort to increase efficiency and to provide better service to passengers, Oman Air will close check-in counters an hour before the scheduled time of departure for all flights departing from Muscat. Boarding Gates will open 70minutes before departure and close promptly at 15 minutes before departure.

This new rule is applicable to all Oman Air flights departing from Muscat including domestic flights and will be effective from the 1st of June. Oman Air Safely Reaches Passengers To Chennai

Oman Air flight WY857 bound for Chennai in south India that diverted to Mumbai on 25th May, landed safely in Chennai at 1800 UTC. The flight from Muscat to Chennai was diverted following a security alert.

The flight that had 135 passengers onboard and 7 crew members was put on alert after a crew members informed the captain concerning a threatening note being found in the aircraft. To ensure the safety of the passengers and the crew, the captain decided to land the flight in Mumbai after obtaining necessary permission.

Oman Air Deploys Non-Stop Wide-Body A330 Aircraft To London And Bangkok

Oman Air, the National Carrier of The Sultanate of Oman has introduced wide-body A330 aircraft on their daily London Heathrow services on May 1st. From 17th May the carrier adds a second A330 to their fleet and this will operate their Bangkok services.

Every Oman Air passenger will now enjoy comprehensive in-flight entertainment with personal in-seat video screens. Business Class passengers will also have the added bonus of seats that convert to a 180 degree flat bed.
