Oman Air’s, Sindbad Frequent Flyer Programme is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with Rotana, the leading hotel management company in the Middle East and North Africa.
Oman Air has appointed Sheikh Ahmed Himyar Al Nabhani as Chief Officer Support Services. This appointment further affirms Oman Air’s commitment on its Omanisation programme of the higher management cadres.
Oman Tourism is currently identifying new international markets to appeal to. During the past decade, Oman's tourism industry rapidly expanded and became one of the Sultanate’s most pivotal non-oil sectors, specialising in eco-tourism and first class tourism.
Jane's Transport Finance 2009 has recognized Oman Air's European Export Credit Agency Financing deal for their two A330-300 aircraft as the “Best Aircraft Debt deal of the Year 2009 - Middle East”. The financing for the above two aircrafts was arranged by Oman Air through Citibank during September and November 2009. The award was given to Oman Air and Citibank at the Award Ceremony that took place at Merchant Taylor’s Hall in London on 27th November 2009.
Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, is unleashing a new $10 million international advertising campaign this month.

Oman Air's 'Sindbad' Frequent Flyer Programme has extended its partnership base by signing an agreement with Sixt rent a car.
Oman Air has announced an increase in its general baggage allowance. The new allowances are 30kg for Economy Class passengers, 40kg for Business Class passengers and 50kg for First Class passengers. The increased allowances apply to Oman Air’s flights to each of its 34 destinations, throughout the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and Asia.
