Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman has during the first six months of this year absorbed 117 new Omani cadres holding various academic qualifications. This comes in line with the government’s guidelines, which has at all times assured on the inevitability of training, qualifying, polishing skills and enriching the experience of the Omanis, to enable them occupy different positions that will positively have an effect on the national economy.

Oman Air has recently signed an agreement with SR Technics to carry out the overhaul / repair services on the landing gear assembly on the B737NG fleet. A new B737-800NG has joined Oman Air fleet. The aircraft was named after "Al Buraimi (An Omani renowned Governate bordering the United Arab Emirates). By the joining of this aircraft, Oman Air fleet consists now of 5 B737-800s and 3 B737-700s. "Al Buraimi" originating from Seattle, USA landed at Seeb airport on May 9, 2007.
