Oman Air recently participated in the 2006 FFP (Frequent Flyer Programme) Conference, which took place in Bangkok, Thailand. The single largest annual event organized for airlines loyalty programmes specialists by Airlines Information LLC. Airline Information and Global Flight teamed with Airline Business Magazine and Oracle for this conference. Delegates from over 75 airlines attended the 2005 conference. Over 175 delegates registered for this conference.
Oman Air Holidays recently conducted a travel agents familiarization trip from across the GCC region to the Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa. The visit was hosted by the Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa in partnership with Oman Air Holidays to enable key sales staff of Oman Air Holidays to experience the uniqueness of the resort first hand.
Under the patronage of H.E. Said bin Hamdoon Al Harthy, Chairman of Board of Directors, Oman Air held its annual conference for sales and marketing at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon from 24 - 25 Feb 2006. Mr. Ziad bin Karim Al Haremi, Acting Chief Executive Officer, a number of senior company officials and the company’s regional & sales managers, participated in the conference.
Oman Air has participated as a golden sponsor to The Oman International Environmental Tourism Conference organised by the Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources Ministry in cooperation with the Tourism Ministry. The event was held with the participation of the United Nations Environment Programme, the World Tourism Organisation, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and the UNESCO.
