Oman Air being the official carrier, sponsors ART’s series “Arabian Aroma”

Oman Air has recently sponsored the special episode on Oman produced by The Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) titled (NASAMAT ARABIA) or (Arabian Aroma). Oman Air achieves good results

MUSCAT — Ziyad bin Karim Al Haremi, acting CEO of the Oman Aviation Services said the company achieved good growth rates in the number of passengers transported and compliance with take-off and landing timings and the engineering efficiency.

He told Oman News Agency (ONA) that Oman Air transported 385,621 passengers by the end of April 2006.

He said the company will increase its daily flights from Muscat to Salalah from the existing three flights to four flights during the Khareef Salalah 2006 and will operate 4-weekly flights on the Dubai-Salalah route.

Al Harami said the company has increased its flights from Muscat to Dubai to 44 flights a week from 27 and increased its flights to Kuwait to 14 flights a week and to Bahrain, Qatar and Lebanon to seven flights a week.

Additional Jet Aircraft for Oman Air Fleet

The Oman Air Board of Directors at its 5th session for 2006 approved the recommendations of the Executive Management to add the 7th Boeing 737-800 to Oman Air fleet and the replacement of one 700 model with 800. With this new aircraft Oman Air fleet will comprise of 5 Boeing 737-800 and 2 Boeing 737-700.

Oman TV appreciates Oman Air efforts In Omanisation

As an appreciation for Oman Air efforts in accelerating the Omanization process and recruiting more Omanies in the prominent positions and in line with Oman TV objective to highlight the activities of the Omani cadre, the national TV has prepared two reports for this aim.

The two reports will be broadcasted on two parts in the Public well-known program called Thursday gathering (Lekaa Al Khamis) at 12.15 PM every Thursday. The first part about pilots will be displayed on 4^th May and the second part about Engineers will be displayed on 11^th May, 2006.
