Oman Air Appoints GMTT as its GSA in Jordan

The Jordan-based Green Meadows Travel and Tourism (GMTT), a sister company of Al Naouri Group (NG), one of the largest and fastest growing Travel and Transport group companies in the Middle East, has been appointed General Sales Agent (GSA) in The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan by the National flag carrier of the Sultanate of Oman. Oman Air to resume flights to Lebanon today

Oman Air said it is resuming its commercial flights to the Lebanese Rafik Hariri International Airport, with the first flight to be operated today Saturday 9th September 2006.

Oman Aviation Services (Oman Air) Cargo Department, has recently received an appreciation communiqué from Lufthansa’s cargo management, MIDDLE EAST expressing positive reception and gratitude toward OAS resourceful cargo team and their significant performance handling efficiently 239 Tons of cargo (cars and spares parts) on board Lufthansa’s chartered flights (freighters) within the months of June - July 2006. Oman Air deputes more Omani cadet Pilots

Oman Air has recently employed 7 young Omanis to be trained as Ab-Initio pilots to operate on its new fleet of Boeing 737 NG. Oman Air System Cutover in Trivandrum

Oman Air, Oman’s national carrier has launched e-ticketing services at Trivandrum Station, after implementing the use of its own departure control system called Airport Check-in System / International (ACSI), with full weight and balance. The successful cutover means that Trivandrum Airport is now connected directly to the full suite of passenger service systems.

The cutover was initiated on 21^st July 2006, and the first flight has been processed through the new system was WY 816 from Trivandrum to Muscat. Oman Air is among the first group of international carriers to utilize this new functionality in Trivandrum.
